چکیده
The iatrogenic ureter injuries are rare complications and may have serious consequences. The treatment options depend on situations. Pelvic surgeons, keep in mind that this kinds of complications, is very important for diagnosis and treatment, during the surgery. This report presents a case of a patient with iatrogenic left ureteral injury during hysterectomy. The patient visited emergency department of our hospital with the chief complaints of left lomber pain on the 17th day of hysterectomy. After evaluation in emergency clinic, the patient had an endoscopic treatment for iatrogenic ureter injury. The patient is still in follow-up period. We also review the literature and discuss diagnose, treatment, prognosis of iatrogenic ureter injuries. The treatment options are still developing by technology. © 2012 All rights reserved

Robotic-Assisted Repair of Iatrogenic Ureteral Ligation Following Robotic-Assisted Hysterectomy
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Ureteral injuries, while rare, do occur during gynecologic procedures. The expansion of laparoscopic and robotic pelvic surgical procedures increases the risk of ureteral injury from these procedures and suggests a role for minimally invasive approaches to the delayed repair of ureteral injuries. We present, to our knowledge, the first case of delayed robotic-assisted ...

Introduction: Meningioma is a benign and slowly-growing tumor that is responsible for 20% of brain neoplasms. It can be accompanied by some genetic disorders such as neurofibromatosis type 2 and is more common among women. As a space occupying lesion, it produces a wide range of signs and symptoms by compressing the adjacent and underlying tissues in the brain. Trauma and vi...
متن کاملMinimally Invasive Endourological Techniques may Provide a Novel Method for Relieving Urinary Obstruction due to Ureterosciatic Herniation
Ureterosciatic herniation, the protrusion of the hernia sac through the sciatic foramen, is an extremely rare cause of ureteral obstruction. We describe a case revealed by severe left back pain in a 72-year-old female. She was referred to our hospital for urological assessment of left hydronephrosis observed by ultrasonography. Intravenous ureterography (IVU) showed findings compatible with a l...
متن کاملManagement of complete ureteral obstructions with a transluminal puncture technique.
INTRODUCTION The traditional delayed treatment of iatrogenic complete ureteral obstruction is open surgery. An easy endourological technique, transluminal re-canalization of the ureter by guide-wire puncture under fluoro-endoscopic control, which has been performed on 4 patients, is described. SURGICAL TECHNIQUE With the guidance of C-arm fluoroscopy, by moving the C-arm to different planes, ...
متن کاملIatrogenic Obliteration of Ureter with Spontaneous Recanalization
We report an unusual case of spontaneous and complete healing of a severe iatrogenic midureteral injury. Following percutaneous nephrostomy and 3 months on our surgical waiting list, the injured ureter underwent complete spontaneous recanalization. The patient is clinically well with no evidence of recurrent obstruction after 2 years of followup. To our knowledge, this is the first reported cas...
